Trying to convince the European Parliament to preserve Europe’s multinational system of checks and balances in patent jurisdiction was perhaps a futile exercise. MEPs are now more than ever biased in favor of a unitary Europe and a unitary patent. But the one under proposal stands outside not only of national but also European controls. |

German Constitutional Court presumes inconstitutionality of Bundestag decision on ESMThe Euro is more important to german MPs than the German Basic Law. The law on erecting the European Stability Mechanism (ESM) is not yet drafted, but the Constitutional Court already asks the President not to sign it.
