Leading Italian Linguist Tullio de Mauro finds in a recent book on “Culture of the Italians” that analphabetism is on the rise due to TV and Internet. The subject is not new but it was very prominent in Corriere della Sera these days.

If a society is not at the height of the evolving technolgical innovation, it falls downward. This is the message that can be gathered from several prominent articles of Corriere della Sera these days, one of them based on a recent book of leading Italian linguist Tullio De Mauro. See the Italian version or pester me for details.
