Unabomber Manifesto et al on right-left polticial psychology

The Unabomber Manifesto seems to contain a lot of lucid thought, beside a few major reasoning errors.

The psychological analysis of the Left is plausible to me.

The Left, as analyzed by Kaczynski, usually builds its discourse on empathy with a supposedly weak group, but the real motivator is not empathy but dissociation from the existing collectives and refusal of the duties that they impose. Thu⋯⋯s they can actually become quite misanthropic. Conservatives OTOH may, for the sake of maintaining an order, allow weak groups to be subject to pressure, but that would not necessarily kill their ability of empathy. On the contrary, by taking humans in general for the weak and fallible beings that they are, one is better able to actually respect them.
