This package can do a few things that OLE::Storage_Lite can not, but it seems to be unmaintained and it is not required by perl-Spreadsheet::ParseExcel.

1 Situation

The Perl module OLE::Storage is now packaged as compressed tar, source rpm and object rpm package and stored in the repository
The module itself may be orphaned. The author’s web address from his Berlin student days is no longer quite the one mentioned in his README file. As a substitute, OLE::Storage_Lite is being maintained.
